A spiritual name is a powerful means of transformation, reminding you of your inner essence and what you are to be and express in this incarnation. Those who attend the Two Days of Transformation will be given a spiritual name. The following is to help you understand the full significance of receiving a spiritual name so that you may receive the greatest possible transformation.

Cristo L. Bowers has written an article addressing how his capacity for knowing the spiritual names of others opened up and sharing the significance of knowing one’s spiritual name and the 3 distinctive types of spiritual names.   Although very informative, the article contains some terminology and concepts that may be difficult for some to understand.  The following paragraphs are provided to supplement and illuminate those concepts and thereby make that article much easier for you to read and understand.

Cristo clairvoyantly perceives the energetic field of energy/consciousness called the LOGOS as being the first aspect or level of SPIRIT, GOD, or THAT that is visible to clairvoyant sight.  He perceives the LOGOS as sending out myriad rays of light, which on the Monadic plane become spheres of consciousness, termed Monads, each being an individuated aspect of the LOGOS and each having a unique pattern or signature vibration from the LOGOS that extends beyond the Monadic plane into the lower subfields of manifest existence.

Patterns from myriad Monads shine down through the Akashic Field of All Possibilities, patterning the subtle energetic fabric of that field in various ways.  The patterns from each Monad also shine beyond the Akashic Field into the next subfield called the Egoic plane, forming individuated spheres of energy/consciousness/form, each of which might be termed a Soul, or Divine Being, or Ego.   Cristo prefers the term Ego.  Please note that this Ego is not the problematic ,selfish, small ego that appears in so many recent spiritual and psychological writings and teachings.  The Ego to which Cristo refers is a distinct Divine Being that operates as an extension of the higher spiritual dimensions, the LOGOS and Monad.  The Ego or Soul seeks to express and impress its unique Divine qualities and patterns in form-relationships, thereby experiencing, learning, loving, and harmonizing with others in a vast process that takes place over the course of thousand of incarnations.  The Ego sends down a ray of its Divine light with its unique patterns, again and again, into that which Cristo terms the Personality, which is a composite being that exists upon the lower mental, astral/emotional, etheric, and physical planes.  Each of us human beings is a Personality.  Each of us is an emanation of Divine light engaging in a temporary round of expression, in physical form and activity, during a physical lifetime.

Cristo perceives that the gift of discerning a Personality’s spiritual name (the name which quintessentially expresses how the Ego or Soul perceives the current incarnate Personality) comes through the Monad, at the Monadic plane. It is not ordinary intuition or clairvoyant insight.

Receiving a spiritual name is of great value to those on a spiritual path because it powerfully transforms the Personality that receives it, bringing the Personality into greater alignment with what the Ego would have the Personality express in this life.  Cristo notes that spiritual names tend to fall into one of three categories, which he calls corrective, descriptive, and identificative.   These are explained in the article.  Regardless of which type of name one receives, the name is a powerful, transforming gift for swiftly bringing the Personality into greater alignment with what the Divine Ego is seeking to embody, express, experience, learn, harmonize, and cultivate through the vehicle of the Personality.

A friend of mine learned from Cristo that his Ego perceived him as The One Who Stands Apart From Humanity.  This was a corrective or descriptive name.   My friend started referring to himself as Stan, short for the one who stands apart.  This resulted in a rapid metamorphosis.   As he contemplated the name, he realized that he had not been sent into this world to stand apart from Humanity and that his Ego did not want him to stand apart.  He identified the things within himself that were causing him to stand apart and worked to remove them.  He transformed into a bright-eyed, highly engaged, actively  participating, and deeply dedicated person within a relatively short period of time.

Keep in mind that a spiritual name is given to a specific person for their specific situation and if given to a different person might convey something else.  Cristo gives an example of one person who was very flighty, not sticking with anything for very long.  For that person, he received the descriptive or corrective name Butterfly.  However, the name Butterfly, if given to someone else, might exemplify the positive qualities of beauty, grace, freedom, or metamorphosis.  The spiritual name that is given (identificative, descriptive, or corrective) is what the Personality needs right now for the greatest transformation and alignment.
